A briefing was provided on two current international exercises.
Pentagon Press Secretary Air Force Brigadier General Pat Ryder held a press briefing on the Pentagon’s current operations. General Ryder outlined two international exercises currently taking place, Exercise Silent Wolverine in the Eastern Atlantic Ocean and Exercise Malabar in the Philippines Sea.
In response to questions regarding the nuclear threat from North Korea, the general stated, “We’ve been very clear that the use of nuclear weapons would be unacceptable, and we continue to consult very closely with our ROK and Japanese allies and other allies and partners in the region, but beyond that, I’m not going to speculate about a hypothetical.“
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the president and the Joint Chiefs of staff as they assess threats from hostile nations.
- For U.S. commanders and troops involved in the military exercises.
- For U.S. armed forces officials as they collaborate and train with allies.
